The Business Administration Program prepares students to transfer to a four-year college or university and achieve a bachelor's degree in any field of business.
This program parallels the first two years of the bachelor’s degree program at a four-year college or university. Students take courses such as business management, business law, marketing, and economics, and develop skills in project management, critical thinking and leadership.
Graduates of the program will be able to:
- Build a strong foundation knowledge in general business as evidenced by the ability to discuss theories of business practices.
- Apply social responsibility and ethics to general business practices.
- Identify and describe key business theories and concepts.
- Demonstrate critical and analytical thinking by analyzing and interpreting recent trends in business.
The program is an intensive one that includes challenging mathematics and business courses, as well as sciences and general education. Students must demonstrate Algebra I competency before taking courses in the major. Algebra I competency may be verified with a passing score on the College’s placement test or by completing the appropriate class. Students must also have a grade of “C” or better in one year of high school laboratory science.
