Middlesex College Nursing Alumni Get Perfect Marks

All 46 of the nursing students from Middlesex College who took their licensing exam passed on their first try, giving Middlesex College a 100% pass rate for 2023. This far exceeds the national average of 88.56 percent pass rate for first-time, United-States-educated test takers for all programs.

Giving Kids a Smile

The Middlesex College Dental Hygiene Program held its annual event, Give Kids a Smile, which provides free dental services including restorative procedures, extractions, and preventive care, to children aged 2 1/2 to 14.

Middlesex College Students Awarded ‘Best Overall Hack’ at HackTCNJ 2024

The four-person winning team of Kyrollos Girgis, Christopher Hausheer, and Dhruv Sethi, all from Middlesex College, and Shahnawaz Haque from the New Jersey Institute for Technology, created an inflatable cylindrical-shaped robot, the “Expand-a-Conda,” that won first prize for “Best Overall Hack” and “Best AI Application Built with Cloudflare” at a 24-hour hackathon hosted at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) in February.

Middlesex College has welcomed two new members to its Board of Trustees: Iris Delgado and Shivi Madhukar. Both were named to the Board by the Middlesex County Board of County Commissioners on February 1, 2024.

Middlesex College Receives Dodge Foundation Award to Grow Justice Scholars Program

Middlesex College’s Center for Justice-Impacted Students (CJIS) has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation that will be earmarked for the College’s Justice Scholars Program as well as for programming to support currently incarcerated students by bringing in supplemental educational programming within partner facilities.

Middlesex College Food Pantry Receives $4,000 Grant

The original Food Pantry Committee of Middlesex College visited a local supermarket November 14 to purchase food and other pantry items, including personal hygiene and cleaning products, using a $4,000 Spotlight Grant from the Edison Elks Lodge #2487.

Devanshi Patel of Piscataway, moved to the U.S. from Kenya a year ago and started classes at Middlesex College last summer. This fall, she will continue her studies at Rutgers, where she had been accepted to last year. Instead, she decided to attend Middlesex College, seeking to save costs and for a softer transition to life in America.
